[BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.]' Dukedin, Monday. The New Zealand Socialist party held its fourth annual conference to-day, when dele-' gates were , present from different parts of New Zealand. Mr. J. W. Munro (Dunedin) presided. The conference >' drew up and adopted a platform on the lines of that of the New Zealand Federation of Labour. It was decided to merge the Socialist paper Commonwealth with the Maori! and Worker. A resolution was passed uphold* ing the efforts of the Christchurck branch in the direction of maintaining* freedom of speech. The conference also pa«od a resolution advocating the teaching of the principles of peace in State schools. The next conference will be held at Wellington.
