ROWING. WAITEMATA CLUB'S >j AT .HOME." The Waitemnto Boating Club held an "At Homo" and trial fours for valuable trophies presented bv Mr. G. Read (vice-president) on Saturday afternoon. The attendance of club supporters was spoilt by the wet morning, rain also falling about two p.m. However, those who disregarded a wetting were rewarded, the rain clearing off, and the racing. was keen throughout, each .event Vicing won just on the- line. A committee ot ladies and club members served afternoon tea and refreshments. The visitors had a most enjoyable afternoon. Mr. Marshall acted as starter and Mr. Boyes as judge. The following are the results:— First Heat: Crews stroked by Huddleston and Woolfgramm were sent away nicely. The firstnamed, spurting well, cleared the line a length ahead.

Second Heat: Three crews stroked by ParkinBon, Campbell, and Woolfgramm got away evenly and kept pretty well level till just on the line, when Parkinson's four spurted and gained first place by a bare canvas from Campbell, Woolfgramm " being half-a-length behind. Third Heat: Three crews again started splendidly. The strokes (Bell, Westray, and Herring) fought for supremacy the whole distance, Westray just gaining the verdict, by half-a-length, Herring being second and Bell third. The final also proved a close race. Parkinson, West ray, and Huddleston were sent away evenly, and after hard going all the way Parkinson gained the victory by a length from Westray, with Huddleston third. The winning four were J. Parkinson (stroke), Hadfield, W. Madden, and McCullough.' NGARUAWAHIA REGATTA. The annual regatta will be held on the Wnikato River at Ngaruawaliia on Friday. This is one of the events of the year in the "Waikato, a large attendance always being drawn to the historio meeting-place of the Waikato and Waipa Riven!. A large number of Maori aquatic events will be given, making the outing a unique one.
