ACCIDENTAL DROWNING.
[bt TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] '' _ Napier, Tuesday. At the inquest, held to-day on the body of a man named Thomas McGrath, found in the river on Monday, the evidence showed that the deceased was without money and had been sent to work by the district engineer. The deceased was 60 years of age, and had been a hard-working man. The river was not fordable on the morning in question, and it was thought that - McGrath was accidentally drowned whilst attempting to cross. The Coroner returned a verdict to that effect.
