. j: —— ♦ ——» * • A VALUELESS CHEQUE. A .short sitting of the Onehunga Police Court was held yesterday morning, when Messrs. A. S. Holmes and G. J. Browne, J.P.'s, presided. Alexander Roscoe Chadwick, with more than one alias, was arraigned for obtaining money from 1 W. J. Brswin, of the Manukau Hotel, by means of a valueless cheque. Mr. Allan Moody appeared for Chadwick and pleaded guilty. Accused was ordered to Mount Eden gaol for two months with hard labour.
