DAMAGES AWARDED.

[BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Cosomandel, Tuesday. Judgment was given in the Warden's Court to-day in the claim of the contractors against the Golden Hills Gold Mining Company for damages for breach of con - tract, amounting to a total of - £1517 2s Id.' Judgment was given for the plaintiffs in the following amounts :—Refund of deposit £25, ; percentage money £22 17s Id, and damages for loss of " profit £450, •total £497 17s Id, with costs £16 5s 6d.

Mr. Millar, for the company, asked for an order staying .proceedings, so that an appeal might be lodged. This was granted.
