A ROYAL VISITOR TO THE DOMINION: THE ARRIVAL OP H.R.H. PRINCE LEOPOLD OF BATTENBERG AT AUCKLAND ON SUNDAY LAST. , / Prince Leopold of Battenberg arrived in A uckland on Sunday evening from Sydney by the Victoria,, and proceeded South by the Ma in Trunk train. He went right through to Christchurch, where ho was to "meet Sir James Mills; managing director of the Union Steam Ship Company, who has arranged a touring party to accompany His Royal Highness through the Dominion. Prince Leopold is the younger son of the Princess Beatrice, the youngest daughter of the- late Queen Victoria, and Prince Henry of Battenberg. Ho is a cousin of His Majesty King George- V., and a brother of Queen Victoria Eugenie of Spain. The Prince is the central figure m the photograph, the others being Dr. llcllroy, his medical attendant, and Miss Chirnside, a Victorian young lady, who travelled to Now Zealand with His Royal Highness s party.
