AN EARLY AUCKLAND REGATTA,
TirE visit or His Royal Highness Princq Leopold of Battenberg to Auckland on Sun-* day last was only of a few hours' duration, but it was long enough for the event \a ■< bo recorded by the camera. The Princa was " caught" by a Weekly News' photographer on the Victoria, and the only; snapshot secured of His Royal Highness! appears in the issue. '• |. It is not often thai a French man-o'-| -;~, war calls at a New Zealand port* so thai/ the visit of the cruiser Kersaint to Auckland is of considerable interest. "; A nnm( ber of snapshots of life on board the vesJ. sel give a good idea of the difference be-( tween British warships and those of am :] other Power. - " : " ?:
