BATHING FATALITY.

A YOUNG MAN DROWNED.

A bathing fatality occurred at Taupaki, on the Kaipara railway' line, at 10 o'clock yesterday morning, when a. young man named Arthur John Backhouse lost his life. In company with two companions he was bath-' ing' in a creek, when he suddenly disappeared. After considerable search the body was recovered. Deceased, who was only 20. •years of age, was a resident of the district. An inquest will be held at Taupaki to-day.
