A GIFT TO WANGANUI.

Wanganui, Tuesday. Mr. David Peat has presented the Borough Council with 13£ acres of land for the purpose of a playground for the children of the town. The land is situated on the borough boundary, and constitutes a magnificent gift, the value of which it would be difficult to estimate. The Borough Council to-night decided to call' it David Peat Park."
