STATUE OF "INDUSTRY."

UNVEILED IN WELLINGTON. [BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] Wellington, Tuesday. The members of the Australasian Institute of Marine Engineers in tho Wellington district assembled in force to-day on the occasion of the unveiling of the bronze statu© of " Industry," recently donated by Mr. F. Reddaway, the head of a Manchester business firm. The gathering included the Hon. J. Carroll, the general manager of railways (Mr. T. Ronayne), the chairman of the Chamber of Commerce (Mr. H. C., Tewsley), and representatives of every branch of industry connected with the institute. In unveiling the statue, the Hon. J. A. Millar said the donor was represented in New Zealand by the secretary of the institute (Mr. A. S. Hislop), and had been made fully acquainted with the : valuable work that is being done by the institute in Wellington. _ , ■
