OUTBREAK OF FIRE.
BLAZE AT PALMERSTON. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Palmers ton" North, Saturday. A fire at 3.15 this morning destroyed the front portion of the premises in Fitz-herbert-street, occupied by Schlager and Cavill, • motor and cycle engineers, together with their stock of valuable machinery. The rear portion of the premises escaped serious injury. The adjoining shop was occupied by W. Richard, bootmaker, whose stock sustained trifling damage. Richard's stock was insured for £65 in the Royal, and Schlager and Cavill's plant and stock for £350 in the London and Liverpool and Globe. The building, which was owned by H. Wollerman, was insured for £250 in the Atlas office.
