A FARMERS' PARTY.
NOT FAVOURED AT TIMARU.
[BY TELEGRAPH.— ASSOCIATION.]
Timabu, Sunday. The South Canterbury Farmers' Union executive yesterday discussed ; a proposal from the Auckland Meat Union to organise a Farmers' Political party. All the members objected to the union taking up party politics, but will send the proposal to the branches for consideration. It was agreed that farmers must look after their political interests, but not through tho union, which has much other work to do.
