jlns. Mary, Spragg, wife of Mr. Elijah Spragg. of Mount Albert, who mysteriously disappeared on Saturday evening, had not been found up till a late hour last night.. Every effort is being made to ascertain her V whereabouts, but as yet without result.

On Saturday Mrs. Spragg was at her summer residence at -Waitakere Ranges, and had soma friends staying there with her. In the-evening her friends went outside the house and when they returned a few minutes later there was no sign of Mrs. Spragg. Her relations think she left the house with the intention of returning to her home at Mount Albert, but as two full days have passed and she has not appeared there is naturally great anxiety as to her safety. During the last 12 months Mrs. Spragg has not. been in very good health, but so far as is known she had no troubles of any sort. It is also stated that she suffered from lapse of memory. '

The disappearance of Mrs. Spragg was reported to the police, and on Sunday a search party was arranged. Yesterday a larger seanh party, comprised of relatives, friends, and a number of boy scouts, set out for the Waitafkere ranges at an early hour. When the party arrived at the spot where Mrs.. Spragg was last seen they divided into two parties and branched off some yards away from each other. The parties set off in the direction of Henderson, a distance of some three miles, and systematically and carefully searched the bush. Every spot likely to reveal traces was thoroughly eearched, and after a tiring day's work the parties reached Henderson, but the search ■Had been fruitless. There were from 40 to 50 people engaged in the search. • ."'This morning another large party, headed by the police constable stationed at Avondale, will make an early start in search of Mrs. Spragg. The route had not been decided upon last night, but it is understood that two parties will again be formed and new ground will be traversed., /: - ■ Mrs. Spragg's relatives offer a reward of £5 to anyone giving information ae to her, : where? bouts. . - ■ ."■■■■■ •
