ST. MARY'S CONVENT.
PRIZE DISTRIBUTION. THE annual distribution of prizes took place yesterday at St. Mary's Convent, Ponsonby. Owing to the death of one of the members of the Order of Mercy the annual ■ concert of the pupils will not bo held this year. Rev. Father Edge distributed the prizes to the children, and spoke a few encouraging words to them regarding their progress during the year. An address was read by Miss Louisa Harris, in which a feeling allusion was made to the loss they sustained in the death of their beloved Bishop. Several fine paintings were on view, the work of tho pupils, also a quantity of exquisitely-made underclothing, to which was added many fancy-work articles.
