Grav, of Edinburgh, arrived in Auckland bv the Main Trunk train yes--terdav morning, and will probably leave on a visit to Rotorua this morning. t Ho is at present staying at the Star Hotel. If- Mr. Glenallan McLean, who died at Grevmouth on Thursday as the result of ?£ ah accident at Otira, was the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Murdoch McLean, of Mount Albert. He was a native of ' Auckland, and was educated at Prince V Albert College. He took up the study of law and served his articles with Messrs:. Nicholson and Gribbin. He obtained his LL.B. degree, and was admitted to the bar when 21 years of age. About two rears ago he left Auckland and entered into a legal partnership with Mr. Morrison, of Wellington. He lately had a severe illBess and went to Otira (where Mr. Murdoch McLean is superintending the construction of the Arthur's Pass tunnel) to recuperate. His death, under the tragic circumstances reported yesterday, is regrettedl by a large circle of friends of the deceased and the bereaved family. Th* Y'- deceased was a prominent member of the .4; .Auckland Rowing Club, and he was well known in aquatic and other athletic circles.
