STOLEN BANK NOTES.
HIDDEN IN A STOCKING. By Telegraph.— Association.—Copyright. (Received October 5, 12.30 a.m.) Ottawa, October 4. Four bank-notes, amounting to £5000 were stolen from the mail room of the steamer City of Seattle, en route from Skagway. A sailor has been arrested, the bank-notes being found in the stockings he was wearing.
