DEADLY FLANNELETTE.

WOMAN DIES FROM BURNS. [Br TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Nelson, Monday. At Neudorf on Saturday, Mrs. Katherine Gerrish, wife of Mr. Edward Gerrish, died from the result of burns, caused through a flannelette nightdress catching fire. .On Friday she was sitting by the fire in her bedroom, her husband being in bed. Later her husband was awakened by screams, and he found his wife enveloped in flames. Remedies were applied in vain, and death from shock occurred some hours later. An inquest was held, and a verdict of death from misadventure was returned, no blame being attached to anyone.
