■ THE first series of trophy matches of the .* Akarana Defence Bifle Club was held at Pens rose on Saturday. Some good shooting was • done in each section.. A. G. Devore, in the . "A" section, W. I'erston in the "B " section, > and S. Xi. -Bent in the "C" section, were suc- , cessful.
