An interesting return relating to land has been presented to Parliament, on the": motion of Mr. Stallworthy, the member for Kaipara. It indicates what are the usual methods of selectors who obtain ordinary Crown lands, More than half of those who obtain sections transfer them. There were 2599 selectors in the yea.r ended March 31 last, and the Crown land boards granted 1607 transfers.
