SHEARING TROUBLES.
SYMPATHY OF OTHER UNIONS. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.]
CHBISTCHORCH. Tuesday. Several times during the course of the shearers' dispute the representatives of the Shearers' Union have hinted that they had behind them the practical sympathy of other unions. The statement is made on good authority that the suggestion had a special application to the West Coaet. Mr. La racy has been in close touch with the Miners' Union throughout the dispute, and in the event of a struggle with the Arbitration Court an important demonstration might have been undertaken in support of the shearers.
