LABOUR ORGANISING.
PARTY AGENT APPOINTED. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] CiißiSTcncßCii, Thursday. At a meeting of all branches of the Labour party, held at the Trades Hall on Monday evening, it was decided to appoint an organiser for the party for the purpose of visiting country districts. Mr. T. Townsend, of Blenheim, was appointed, at a salary of £5 per week, which in to cover all expenses, excepting the cost of halls for meetings and advertising. Mr. Townsend is expected in Christchurch at the end of the week. He has resided for about seven years in the Dominion, and was previously engaged in organising work in Australia.
