Russian newspapers express indignation at Germany's attempt to extend her political and economic influence in Persia. They declare that her action is creating unsettled conditions in Persia. (Received May 20, 9 a.m.) London, May 19. It is officially announced in Berlin that Germany is pursuing not political, but commercial ends in Persia.
