TERMINATING BUILDING SOCIETY.
THE ANNUAL REPORT. The : thirteenth annual meeting of the Auckland Co-operative Terminating Building Society will bo hold in St. James's Hall on May 27. The annual report states that the year has been a very satisfactory one. Withdrawals of subscriptions have been small in groups 1, 2, and 3. In groups 4, 5, and 6 they have been rather larger, and this has somewhat affected the appropriations in these groups. The number of shares now elicible for ballots out of the original 1000 in each group are: Group 1, 486 group 2, 386; group 3, 404; group 4, 449; group 5, 453; group 6, 463. The receipts for the year had been £78,621, and there had been no diminution in the demand for loans. The amount advanced on loan had been £66,459. The advances made and authorised since the commencement of tho society totalled £406,047, and the repayments £151,454, leaving a balance of £254,593. The high tender prices ruling during tho year had made' a considerable addition 'to the total profits, which now amounted to £53,401. I .
