'MR. WOOLLCOMBE'S MISSION.. . The Meaning of the Cross" was the subject of Mr. Woollcombe's luncheon-hour address yesterday. Mr. Woollcombe will give a closing address in the Chamber of Commerce on the subject of "Christian Service" at 1.20 p.m. to-day. ■ ' • • • . -■ _■ ■■> '.• ODDFELLOWS' MEETING; The quarterly meeting of the Loyal Dominion Lodge, 1.0.0. F., M.U., was held on Tuesday evening, when a large number of members were present. One new member was initiated. It was reported that satisfactory arrangements in regard to c ; new hall had been made, and that the lodge would most probably meet next time in the new premises. • . EVANGELISTIC MISSION. . The Scottish singing evangelists' from Queensland, Mr. and Mrs. James Cumming, have been conducting a mission last Sunday in the Remuera district. On Tuesday and Wednesday they gave discourses and duets in the Remuera public school for young people, some 300 or 400 being present on each occasion. Last night they addressed a large congregation at St. Luke's Presbyterian Church, Remuera. The mission will be continued next week.
