The evidence showed that deceased had been in weak j health for many years, and ; latterly had j been gradually growing weaker. He was; last seen alive on .Saturday at one o'clock j by a boy, who served him with groceries, and appeared.'; then 4to :be •' in a weak condi-1 tion. The same boy visited the house again at about the same time yesterday with provisions, button knocking at the door received no reply. The matter was reported to the police, who found deceased lying on the .floor of the bedroom. > A post-mortem examination was made by Dr. Barclay, t who stated that death was"due to disease of the lungs. A verdict was returned in accordance with this evidence. ■..%■: ' ' v,; An, inquest- was also held on the body of John Mclsaacs, who died suddenly at the Lady Bowen Hotel yesterday : afternoon. The evidence showed that the deceased, who was a pit sawyer, : arrived, at Thames on' the 17th inst. with his brother.
