The. list of entries—6o tor the pennant and 11 for the first-year players' matches—shows [a total of over 70, or about equal to the usual tournament entry of the North Island Bowling Association. The* "open door" policy is responsible for the large entry. In regard to arrangements for. the matches, players aic requested : to■ note that play will commence punctually' at nine o'clock each morning, commencing on Good Friday, until the tournament is finished. Players may obtain lun- i cheon at the Ponsonby, Auckland, and Grey Lynn greens each day at a cost of Is 6d, while afternoon tea will Ira. supplied on all greens for 6d. .' • Several visiting bowlers from country clubs'-are; expected to arrive to-day, while the :balance will arrive to-morrow.
