The number :of persons whoV; recorded votes yesterday at the election of representatives of the city on the Hospital and Charitable Aid Board was' 1953. The gross 'total on '.the i rolls is 18,021; but when there >is deducted names which have been• struck off it is probable that the net total of votes that could have been cast would be ; about 17,000 odd. Of 12,000 .voters on the city rolls only 1500 cast their votes.. 1 The successful candidates were:: Messrs. Loudon (ex-Mayor), 972; Walker; (present Mayor), 972; Larnach, 763; Myers, 733 Talboys, 694; > Clark, 681. For the hill suburbs : Messrs.
