POISON RATHER THAN ARREST.

CnaiSTCHPEtTi, Tuesday. James Graham, aged 33, was admitted to the hospital to-day, evidently suffering from the effects of some irritant poison. He was about to have been arrested for having failed -to pay the arrears of a maintenance order, when he is supposed to have taken nitric acid.
