MOUNT ASPIRING CONQUERED

Mount Aspiring, the finest Alpine peak in the vicinity of the Southern lakes,- was climbed -last week by Capatin Head, a visitor from England, with the two New Zealand guides. Jack Clark and Alex. Graham. Mount Aspiring is so much out of the ordinary route of travel that it has not received much attention from Alpine climbers. Last season Dr. Teichelman made an unsuccessful attempt to reach its summit, in company with Guide Graham. Jack Clark, who was one of the successful party on Tuesday, was a member of the New Zealand party which i made the first ascent of Mount Cook. -
