A MISSING MASON.

[BY TELEGRAPH.— ASSOCIATION*.]

Christciiurch, Tuesday. The relatives and friends of Mr. Arthur Clarkson, of Rogeri and Clarkson, monumental masons, Dunedin, but who resides in this city, are greatly exercised in mind as to his whereabouts. He left this city on October 29 for Teschemaker's Siding, six miles south of Oamaru, where he was to meet a Government architect. He was seen at Timaru on October 29 and 30, but since then, despite inquiries by the police and relatives, has not been seen or heard of. He appears to have completely disappeared, and the only suggested explanation of the mystery is that he has suffered a relapse from 'an attack of malarial fever, and is with friends who have unaccountably failed to communicate with his relatives. There is no suggestion of financial troubles or business worries.
