SUDDEN DEATHS.

Gore, Tuesday. A HiGHLT-REsrECTED resident of over 30 years' standing, in the person of Mr. Alexander Cockburn, aged 75, dropped dead on his farm near Mataura this evening. ( ; '.V. Chbistchdhch, Tuesday. , Mr. Thomas Bird, a native of Cumberland, and a resident' of Rangiora since the early sixties, died this morning. Deceased was attending to some stock when he suddenly fell down and expired almost immediately.
