MAORI YOUTH LOSES • HIS LIFE. • [bt ' TELEGRAPH. correspondent.] ,» - Atiamtri, Monday. -A Maori named Wereta, of. Mokai, aged' 19, was drowned while swimming in the Waikato River, four miles below Ongaroto on Saturday. A party under the direction of Constable Ryanf is searching for the body.

A boy, aged two years, Daniel Leonard Mathias, was accidentally drowned in a well at Alexandra South, on Saturday. A WARKWORTH RESIDENT. [FROM OTTO OWN - CORRESPONDENT.] ■---■"- Warkworth, Monday. ; The body of Mr. Bruce McKinney, second son of the late Rev. R. McKinney, was found in the Mahurangi River about six o'clock on Sunday evening. The deceased had been missing since Friday, but no uneasiness had been felt till Sunday, when a search party went out. Mr. McKinney was very popular, and much sympathy is felt for the family, who are wellknown and highly, respected residents. The deceased was an unmarried man and about 50 years of age. ,
