COMMERCIAL.

The sharemarket was again quiet yesterday, the business transacted being confined solely! to mining lines. Waihis improved slightly, selling at £9 i7s and £9 17s 6d, and closing with buyers ati £9 17s 6d, sellers at £9'lßs. Grand Junctions, on the other hand, eased a little, operations as against 395, the closing sale on Saturday, being conducted at from 38s 6d to 38s 9d to 38» 6d to 38s 9d. , More were wanted at 38s 6d, but further sellers; required 38s 9d. Waihi Cbnsolidateds were dealt in at 4s. 3d and 4s /and Waihi Extehdeds at from 4s 2d to 4s. Talismans were again a little weaker, changing hands at from 49s 9d to 495. Closing quotations were buyers 495, sellers 49s 9d. 'Other, stocks commanded the usual prices.

PROPERTY SALES, At noon "yesterday Samuel' Cochrane "Son, under instructions from the Auckland Hospital and Charitable Aid Board, .put up for auction seven leases of sections, part of the Alburnia Estate Epsom, fronting Gillies' Avenue and Bracken Avenue. The sections have frontages ranging "from 66ft to 154 ft. The leases were for terms of 63 years, with the right of renewal every 21 years thereafter.
