, New York, November 21. The United States Circuit Court of Appeal has ordered the Standard Oil Company of New Jersey to be dissolved as an illegal corporation.

The Government's action was directed against the parent organisation and 70 subsidiary branches for conspiracy, and as a monopoly restraining trade in several States. , The case is to go to the United States Supreme Court. „.

The charges against 33 branches were dismissed.

The judgment led to a selling movement on the New York Exchange, and Standard Oil certificates declined 12£ points.

This is stated to be one of the most important and far-reaching decisions given in a civil action in the American courts.
