TRIALS IN FRANCE.
REFORMS TO BE MADE.
By Telegraph.—Press Association.— Paris, November 19. ' Owing to the methods pursued by the judge who presided over the Steinheil trial, and who assumed the role of prosecutor, the Government has introduced a Bill to limit judges' powers of cross-examination. France is shocked at the present antiquated and inequitable methods of procedure.
