ONE WRECKED AT MADEIRA.
J. J. ASTOR'S YACHT MISSING.
By Telegraph.— Association.—Copyright. London, November 18. The Varuna, a splendidly equipped steam yacht, belonging to Mr. Eugene Higgins, : the v well-known American millionaire banker, has been wrecked at Madeira.
Mr. Higgins and his friends narrowly escaped being drowned. Colonel J. J. Astor, aboard the steam yacht Nourmahal, one -of the finest vessels of her class in . the world, has been missing sines the Jamaica hurricane. : ' •
Several revenue cutters are now out searching the Jamaica coast for traces of her. '
