A WELLINGTON MYSTERY.

Wellington, Wednesday. The name of the young man who.was discovered in the hills between Kaiwarra and Ngahauranga with a bullet wound in his forehead and a revolver close by is Jack Roberts. It appears that Roberts, who is a jockey, came from Marlborough, and had only been in Wellington a week or two. He has stated that he came here to attend a race meeting and had lost a comparatively large sum of money. On inquiry to-night it was ascertained that he is still in a critical conditio^-
