Mexico, November 3. The President of Nicaragua, Joso Santos" Zelaya, announces that the •,

insurgents at Boaca and San Carlos have' been crushingly defeated.

A cable published last week stated: — "An insurgent movement which threatens to prove serious is in. progress in Nicaragua. The leader is General . Cnamorro. .' The insurgents under him have fought an engagement at Boaca with the Government troops, who suffered defeat. By this means the insurgents have gained control of the Atlantic coast. The Government are losing ground everywhere throughout the republic." "
