ARREST NEAR CAMBRIDGE.

CHARGE OF ASSAULT AND

ROBBERY.

An arrest has been made in connection with the cab mystery of last Friday evening, a man who is alleged to have played the part of cabman, and assaulted and robbed Mrs. Evelyn Morris, while' ho was conveying her to a private hospital, having been arrested at Karapiro, hear Cambridge, yesterday. ' The man is James Giddes, about 35 years of age, and he is charged with having assaulted Evelyn Morris and robbed her of £20 in money, and jewellery, to the value of £100. He will be brought before the Court at- Cambridge to-day, and will be remanded to appear at Auckland.
