WEATHER FORECAST. The following is Mr. D. C. Bates' summary and forecast:An area of westerly low pressure lias passed southward of Kawhia and Napier, and the barometer has risen fast in the South, with rain tnd some snow on higher levels. The barometer has been fairly steady in the North, and the weather has been unsettled, cloudy, and wet. . In the North the present- indications are for "?ht and variable winds, with little movement of the barometer. Changeable and humid conditions m the Far North, but fair weather is probable generally.
