CITY TENNIS COURTS.

The City Council has received one or two requests for the nee of tennis courts in Victoria Park by individual clubs. On the recommendation of the city engineer, the Council decided last night that, as it was understood that members of proposed clubs were willing to take the courts for the season, and pay the charges as at present fixed whenever the courts were being used by their membs-rs, two courts be allocated to the clubs. The third court, is to be kept for casual players, it being understood that if members of the two clubs do not sufficiently use the courts the Council may cancel the arrangement or let out the courts to other than club players upon application.
