FREE PLACE PUPILS.
THE WELLINGTON DIFFICULTY. [BY TELEGRAPH.PRESS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Monday. The free place pupils who are entitled to admission to the Girls' High School will not join the classes until after the present year. This decision has been amicably come to by the College Governors and the Government. It was felt that it would be a foolhardy proceeding to take scholars away from their classes at the present time, as they are just in the middle of a term. The present term ends in December, and the parties interested agree that pupils who are entitled to free places would be better served by going on with their studies at the High Schools and completing the course upon which they had entered.
