Voile and Sons sold yesterday lots of 9 acres 0 r<y>cte 24 perches and "7 acres 3 roods off Great North Road., Henderson, for £7 and £5 respectively, an allotment of 200 acres at the Wade for £295, a farm of 123 aores 0 roods 16 perches at Mercer for £355, and a seaside property of 50 acres at the Wade for £125. Messrs. T. Mandeno Jackson offered 12 sections of the Kawhia Harbour endowment for lease yesterday. Six lots, ranging from 214 acres to 620 acres, were leased at Is per acre. There was a large attendance and bidding was brisk. CHRISTCHURCH GRAIN AND PRODUCE MARKET. [by telegraph.— association.] CiiiusTCiiUßCH, Friday. There is 110 change to report in the local grain market since the beginning of the week. No wheat is coming forward, ana the prices at which oats can be purchased do not admit of further shipments being made to London, therefore the only business in oats is for a very limited local trade. Potatoes are rather firmer, though there is not much response from the North to offers of supplies. The principal inquiry is for Derwenfs, whose keeping qualities for the end of the season, are better than those of Up-to-Dates. WELLINGTON STOCK EXCHANGE. Tho wheat market is very inactive. Buyers are indisposed to deal owing to the uncertainty as to the result, of the world's harvests. Though the weather here is unfavourable, this is counterbalanced by th a lower American prices and tho pressure to sell Russian and Canadian wheats. There is little inquiry for cargoes. Australian afloat is quoted at 42s to 42s 6d; loading, 41s 6d; new crop December-January shipment, 3Ss 9d; per steamer, Jfiiuary-February shipment, SBs 6d. On spot- trade is quiet. Australian is quoted at 44s to 455; New Zealand longberry, 42s to 435; shortberry, 41« 6;l to 42s fed. As regards flour, there is a dragging trade in Australian in London at 32s and at Glasgow at 32s 6d. Oat« are quiet. • Cartons afloat being quoted at 20s to ZDs 6d; sparrow-bills, 19s 6d to 20s; La Plata, nearly due, 15s 6d. BUTTER AND CHEESE. The butter market is hardening, Danish being quoted at 115s to 117s. There is no colonial offering-. Cheese is firm at 59s to 60s. METALS. Copper: On spot £59 lis 3d; at three months, £60 10s. Tin: On spot, £138 7s 6d; at three months, £139 10s. Iron, 51s 4^d. Spelter, £22 2s id. SUGAR. German, lis 6d; first marks, 13s 9d. WOOL.
