Bones. £4 17* 6d per ton. WAIKATO STOCK SALES. Messrs. Daigety and Co., Hamilton, report :— We held our usual monthly stock sale at the Ngaruawahia saleyards on Saturday, August 14. There was a good attendance and a good yarding of stock, which was practically all sold* at prices satisfactory to the vendors. "Sheep: Medium sixes mixed sexed hoggets sold for lis 6d. Cattle: A good entry of stores, which included some nice lines of yearlings, all sold at late rates. Dairy cows of medium quality also brought good prices. Two-year-old steers sold up to £3 6s; three-year-old heifers, to £3 10?: empty cows, to £3 lbs 6d; yearling steers, to £2 6s 6d; mixed yearlings, to 37s 6d; dairy cows, best up' to £6, others to £S ss.

We held our tri-\veek!y sale in the Hamilton Yards on Thursday, the 19th inst., when we yarded over 250 head of cattle. There was a good attendance and the following prices were realised :—Fat steers, £7 16s; fat cows, £5 2s 6d; store steers, £4 10s; empty cows, in poor condition, £2 12s 6d to £3 10s; yearling heifers, up to 56s 6(1; yearling steers, 62s 6d; springers, from £4 2s 6d to £5 IDs; dairy cows. £4 6s to £7 15s; mixed calves, 365; pigs, 14s to 30s.

The Formers' Co-operative Auctioneering Company, Limited, report:— held our Ngaruawahia sale on Wednesday, the 18th inst., when 1075 cattle of nil cla«se,s were yarded. There was a large attendance and brisk bidding throughout. The 350 three and four-year steers penned were a choice lot and sold readily. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited. Hamilton, report :—We had a large yarding of stock at Matamata on Wednesday, when we submitted 1135 head of cattle and 600 sheep. Buyers were present from Tauranga, Woodleigh. all" parts of the Waikato, and surrounding districts, and we report a most successful sale. A good demand existed for all classes and every line changed hands with the exception of three pens of young cattle and a small lot of ewes close to lambing. Fat steers made £6 15s to £8; cows, £4 5s to £4 19s; two and a-half to three-year-old steers, £4 12s 6d ; 20-month to wo-vear "steers, £2 15s to £3 4s; yearling steers, £1 17s to £2 4s; mixed yearlings, £1 10s to £1 15s ; empty cows and heifers in fresh condition, £3 6s to £3 15s; store cows, £2 5s to £2 15s; well-grown dairy heifers close to profit, £6 10s to £7 ss: other's, more backward. £4 15s to £5 17s 6d; dairy cows, £5 15s to £7 ss; aged and cull cows. £3 to £4 as.
