. +. The Noith New Zealand Coursing Club's August carnival opens at Middlemore Park to-day, when the ilrst rounds of the Westfleld All-aged and Glasgow Maiden Stakes will be decided. A special train will leave Auckland at 1.30 p.m., the return fare being Is. Mr. C. R. Tapper (hon. secretary) has everything arranged for the success of the gathering, and the one thing desired is fine weather. Mr. W. E. Hitekett will again officiate as judge.
