The auxiliary schooner. May Howard arrived from Kerikeri yesterday morning' with the following cargo:—Nine telegraph poles, 4 - sacks kauri gum, 7 sacks hides, 2 casks tallow, 35 cases meat and mullet, and .3 tons furniture. On the eve of the arrival at Melbourne from Liverpool of the Federal-Houlder-Shire liner Everton Grange her passengers presented Captain R. D. Taylor with a silver cigar-case as a ,token of their appreciation of his efforts to promote their comfort and well-being throughout the long

voyage. .. ' * ■ The West Coast Steamship Company of South Australia has recently had constructed on the Clyde a new steamer for their west coast trade. She has been called the Weeltata. This is the native nanw of a place on the west coast. THE SYDNEY STEAMER

The steamer Victoria, which left Sydney for Auckland on Wednesday afternoon last; is expected to ;teach this port, to-morrow afternoon. She has 67 passengers and 600 tons of general cargo to land here. The Victoria sails for East Coast and Southern ports on Tuesday afternoon.
