.;___— » RESIGNATION OP THE WARDEN. The Rev. C. W. Scott-Moncrieff, who has occupied the position of warden at St. John's College since January 1, 1908, has resigned that position. His resignation has been accepted by the Board of >><„- vernors, and' during" the next terms the college will be in charge of- the Rev. E. . H. Strong, at present sub-warden of the . IT college. Mr. Scott-Moncrieff, who wes selected for the position of warden from a large number of applicants in 1907/ subsequent to the resignation of the Rev. H. Anson, was at. that time vice-principal of the Dorchester Missionary College, which appointment he resigned to come to St. John's College. He was previously chap- : lain of Queen's College, Birmingham. Mr, Scott-Moncrieff has had a university career at considerable distinction, and be was secretary to the movement which; led to the issue of the historical letter of unity in 1906, which, was signed by. the head's of the. various' "religious' " bodies in the United Kingdom. The Rev. E. H. Strong, who came out from England, with the Bishop of Auck- ' land (Dr. Neligan) at the beginning of the present year, is a ?N"ew Zealander.; He graduated M.A. at the University of New Zealand in 1900. - He then went to Oxford, where he was senior colonial student, and won the -Casberd Exhibition, and. took the degrees of B.A. and B.Liti. He was, appointed in. 1907 to the parish of St. Barnabas, Balsall Heath, Birmingham.
