: Hamilton, Thursday. The Waikato musical and' elocutionary competition.") commenced 'yesterday afternoon and were continued in the evening. There was 'a large audience on each occasion. The following are the results of yesterday's competitions :—

Afternoon.—Pianoforte duet (pupils under 16) Misses Doris and Ruth Saunders (Cambridge), " Feu et Flamme," 78 points, 1; Miss Ethel Morse and Master Charlie Sharp (Cambridge), " Dance Rustlque," 57 points, 2.
