An enormous amount of business was again done on the sharemarket on Saturday, the calls being unusually long. In mining lines, with the exception of Waiotahis (which firmed) and Magnets, Thames 6tocks were easier, no doubt owing to the latest developments of the deep levels scheme, and in the case of May Queens primarily due to the Waiotahi leader having taken a sudden turn to the left away from the May Queen property. Waiotahis were done at from 9s to 8s 6d to 8s 8d to 8s 7d to 8s 9d to Bs. 5d to 8s 6d, with sellers at 8s 5d and buyers at 8s 4d. May Queens sold at from 4s 6d to 4s to 4s Id to 4s to 4s 8d to 4s 7d. Bonanzas (con.) 'changed hands at 7^d; Dixon's Consolidateds at Is 2d and Is Id (con.) and Is 4d (paid); Kuranuis at Is 7d ; Kuranui-Caledonians at 2s 3d, 2s 4d, and 2s 2d : Magnets at from 5d to 4d to 4£d to 4d; May Queen Extendeds at 4£d and 5d ; New Sylvias at 3s 5d and 3s 6d ; Old Alburnias (paid up) at Is 9d and Is 8d; Saxons at 3s Id ; Southern Queens at 3d ; Victorias at from Is 9d to Is 8d to Is 9d to Is 8d ; and Waitangis at 3s lid. In Southern stocks Consolidated Goldfields were disposed of at 18s 6d. In Coromandel lines Golden Pahs sold at.sd and 4£-d; Royal Oaks $con.) at Is 3d ; Tokateas (con.) at 2d ; and Bendigos at B£d. In Upper Thames stocks Come toe ks sold at 8d ; Champions at 6d ; Crowns at 6s 3d and 6s 4d; Dominions (con.) at 6£d ; Golden Belts (con.) at 5d ; Karangahakes at Is 5d and Is 4d; Maorilands at from BJsd to 8d to Bgd to 7J)d; New Waitekauris sat 3d; Shotovers (con.) at 3d; Tairua Broken Hills at 2s 3d ; Tairua Monarchs at 4d ; Tairua Reefs at 5d and sgd (6d paid), and 4£d (con.). Talismans continued firm at from 55s to 55s 3d to 555. Sellers closed at 555,. and buyers at 54s 9d. Waihis dropped Is, sales being reported at £9 ss, with sellers at £9 6s, and buyers at £9 4s 6d. Waihi Grand Junctions firmed at from 47s 3d to 47s to 47s 3d to 47s to 47s 3d to 475. Sellers closed at 475, and buyers at 46s 9d. Waihi Consolidateds sold at 4s Bcl and 4s 7d ; Waihi Extendeds at 6s 4d and 6s 3d ; and New Waitaias at Is Id. Mountain Kings eased, changing hands at Is lid i and 2s (Is paid), and Is 7d and Is 6d (con.).
