. Ekefton, Friday. An affray between two Chinamen. occurred this morning. Ah Ben and Lue Soo, inmates of the same hut, were found cutting at each other with axes. Ah Ben had his skull fractured, and was- badly cut about, but when neighbour came in, Lue Soo was underneath, and Ah Be a was cut-ting-at .him.--•■■■ . '

Ah Ben afterwards collapsed, and was taken to the hospital. , His wounds., are not considered likely to prove fatal.

Lue Soo was arrested on a charge of assault, and taken to the Police Court, where a remand was granted on the application of the police' . Accused cays that Ah Ben woke him up by hitting him with an axe. : V
